Abstract (EN)
In this study, benzimidazole compounds were obtained from the reaction between 4,5-dichloro-o-phenylenediamine and ethylcyclopropylethanediimidiate hydrochloride by the help of the N-H proton. After that, these benzimidazole compounds were firstly converted to ester functionality and then hydrazide functionality. The reaction between obtained hydrazide derivatives and different aldehydes resulted in the formation of Schiff bases. In addition to these reactions, different heterocyclic compounds were synthesized with the reaction between hydrazides and isothiocyanates.
