Abstract (EN)
Triclosan is an active ingredient used in health and personal care products, especially toothpastes, due to its antibacterial properties. Bisphenol A, one of the endocrine disrupting pollutants, is an important component that affects public and environmental health due to its negative effects on human and animal health. Fish, which play an important role in the food chain, have recently been exposed to Triclosan and Bisphenol A (BPA), two endocrine disrupting chemicals commonly found in aquatic environments. This study aimed to investigate the behavioral and toxic effects of Triclosan (TCS) and Bisphenol A (BPA) chemicals, which are commonly found in industrial and personal care products, on Guppy (Poecilia reticulata) and Zebrafish (Danio rerio) species representing aquatic life in detail, to determine the changes in the behavioral characteristics of fish exposed to chemicals and to understand the biochemical and physiological effects of these changes. TCS and BPA concentrations were added to Danio rerio and Poecilia reticulata fish at doses of 0-0.001-0.002-0.005-0.01-0.02-0.05-0.1 and 0.2 mg/L, behavioral changes were recorded by camera recording and LC50 values were calculated. During the 48-hour test period, the LC50 value of Poecilia reticulata fish exposed to Triclosan chemical was calculated as 0.035 mg/L and 0.030 mg/L for Danio rerio fish, and the LC50 value of Poecilia reticulata fish exposed to Bisphenol A chemical was calculated as 0.038 mg/L and 0.034 mg/L for Danio rerio fish, and it was determined that as the chemical concentration increased, the swimming speed of the fish decreased and the frequency of behavioral disorders increased.
