Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is, to test the country of origin and consumer ethnocentrism concepts on Turkish consumers; that have been studied little in Turkey but vastly in the international literature. The aim is to put a cultural diversity to the country of origin and consumer ethnocentrism literature globally.Study consists of three parts. In the first section, the increasing importance of consumer in marketing and business, the factors playing a role on consumers' purchasing decisions are explained. In the second part describes concept of the country of origin and concept of the consumer ethnocentrism are examined and presented in a format with examples of the summer. Accordingly, consumer ethnocentrism, discusses the appropriateness of purchasing foreign products and domestic products is a concept that the motive of the purchase. Country of origin effect is defined as ?A product of the country belongs to the consumers purchasing decisions and a positive or negative effect on their behaviour?.In the third section of the study, the results of the application on Adiyaman University students are presented.
