Investigating consumers showrooming and webrooming behaviors according to purchase decision styles

Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was tried to determine which purchasing decision styles were influenced by showrooming (researching in strore and buying online) and webrooming (researching the internet and buying in the physical store). It is also aimed to compare showrooming and webrooming according to the product groups in shopping. It is important to understand these behaviors that consumers prefer in shopping and to examine them according to purchasing decision models in order to obtain systematic in information. In the study, quantitative data collected with the help of a questionnaire were analyzed through a sample 462 people. According to the results of the analysis, showrooming and webrooming behaviors are affected by variables such as ''learning status, marital status, online shopping time, amount of online shopping.'' In addition, ''website, novelty-fashion, entertainment-pleasure, product porting'' from purchasing decision styles affects showrooming trend and ''website, price, product portability'' webrooming trend. It was also determined that those with a high showroom orientatiton and those with a high webroom orientation differed in their purchasing decision- making styles.
