Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this research is to find if there is a statistical relationship between self confidence levels of people who comes to Kuşadası as a touristic purposes and their destinations risk perception in Kuşadası or not. 145 Turkish, 246 foreign tourists took part in this research as a respondent. Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale was selected to measure self confidence level of the tourists who come to Kuşadası Perceived risk scale was selected to measure perceived risk scale which was developed by Fuchs ve Reichel (2006). Komologorov Smirnov test was used to determine whether Self Esteem Scale material is paremetric or not. As Kolmogorov-Smirnov Z test semantic value has be found smaller than 0.05 (p < 0,05) nonparametric tests methods have been used used in this research. Mann- Whitney U test was used to examine whether beetween gender of the tourists who took part in a a survey and perceived risk faktors these are differences. Kruskal-Wallis test was used to examine whether factors of the perceived risk differ in terms of other variables. Correlation analysis was used to designate direction and intensity of relationship between risk factors scale sub-dimension and self esteem scale variables. According to analysis results there is an avoidant semantic relation beetween total score self esteem and risk perception. KEYWORDS: Tourism, Tourist, Self Confidence, Destination, Perceived Risk.
