Abstract (EN)

This study aims to provide a perspective on the dynamics of military cooperation within the Turkic world by examining the impact of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on military cooperation between Turkey and Uzbekistan. The OTS has emerged as a platform promoting cooperation among Turkic states, and military cooperation between Turkey and Uzbekistan is a concrete outcome of this organization. The first section of the study delves into the concepts of power and military cooperation. In this context, concepts such as hard and soft power, types of military cooperation, and military alliances are discussed. The second section focuses on the OTS from the perspective of smart power. This section sheds light on the organization's structure and institutions. The third section highlights the significance of Uzbekistan in Central Asia, discussing topics such as its geopolitical position and historical background. The final section addresses the military cooperation between Turkey and Uzbekistan. In conclusion, this study evaluates the role of the Organization of Turkic States in Turkey-Uzbekistan military cooperation and its impact on regional security dynamics. Considering how the OTS acts as a catalyst for such cooperation and shapes the potential for military cooperation within the Turkic world, this study serves as an important guide for the design and implementation of similar cooperation initiatives in the future.
