Protection of intellectual and artistic works with criminal norms in Turkish law

The aim of our thesis, titled "Protection of Intellectual and Artistic Works with Criminal Norms in Turkish Law" is to discuss the criminal protection of intellectual and artistic works in detail, particularly within the context of Turkish Law and to emphasize the importance of the subject. Our study is organized under three main headings. The subject is discussed in detail in the first section titled Work and Work Ownership, the second section titled Crimes Regulated in FSEK, and the third section titled Trial and Sanction Scheme for Crimes Regulated in FSEK. The first section, titled Work and Work Ownership, delves into the concept of work, types of work, ownership, rights of work owners, and related rights. The second section, Crimes Regulated in FSEK, examines the criminal protection of intellectual and artistic works, focusing in detail on the perpetrator, victim, and protected legal interest within the scope of crimes regulated by FSEK. The third and final section, Trial and Sanction Scheme for Crimes Regulated in FSEK, concludes the study by examining the trial and sanction system. Throughout the thesis, legal systematics were considered, and the sections were organized accordingly. The discussion comprehensively covers criminal protection in the context of FSEK and all domestic law. It is expected that the study will shed light on some current practical problems by examining the increasingly important issue of criminal protection of intellectual and artistic works.
