Determination of criteria affecting design, production and construction process of prefabricated buildings in Turkish construction sector

In this study, the criteria influencing the history and use of prefabricated building systems in Turkey have been identified. Prefabricated building systems to investigate the cause of the architects who design widely used in Turkey, the firms producing prefabricated elements to the technical staff and contractor survey was conducted. The questionnaires were delivered to the participants via face-to-face interviews and e-mail. The data obtained from the participants as a result of the questionnaires were analyzed by using SPSS 22.0 for Windows and Microsoft Office Excel 2010 programs. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the criteria affecting the design, production and construction processes were different for each of the three groups of participants and that the criteria that the groups of participants showed importance varied in each process. The results are divided into processes. Suggestions have been made for the widespread use of prefabricated building systems.
