Abstract (EN)
With the rapid increase in urbanization and population, the constr uction sector is growing and this situation causes the formation of structural wastes in our country as well as all over the world. It is known that the resulting structural wastes have become a serious problem that causes the use of high amounts of raw materials, water and air pollution, negative effects on human health and environmental pollution. In order to prevent the formation of structural waste in developed and developing countries, research has begun on the reasons for the formation of structural waste, prevention methods, recovery methods, recycling methods, disposal methods. In our country, the design phase, the demolition phase of the buildings, the building production processes have been investigated in general regarding the causes of construction waste generation, but no studies have been conducted on the construction phase, which is a phase of the building production process and contains th e main factors of structural waste generation. For this reason, the study focuses on making it possible to reduce structural waste generation at the source during the construction phase. The main research subject of the study is to determine the factors af fecting the formation of structural waste during the construction phase of the building and to develop solutions to prevent or reduce the formation of structural waste. In this context, international and national studies were examined and data were collected by systematic literature review. A questionnaire form was created with the collected data. With a systematic literature review, 54 possible criteria that affect the structural waste of the building during the construction phase were determined. The prep ared questionnaires were sent to people who they working in the construction sector as architects, engineers and contractors in Turkey by e-mail and the data of the study were collected. Data collection was 9 March 2022 and 1 January 2023 . And the data of the study were obtained with the information obtained from a total of 162 completed questionnaires. Statistical analyzes of the collected data were made using the "Office 365 Excel 2022" and "SPSS 23.0 for Windows" package programs.
