The comprasion of Turkish and Mongol shamanic faith systems

Shamanism generally occurs in Siberia and Central Asia, but it has existed in different ways and in different geographies of the world. In addition to these, Shamanism is seen in North and South America, among indigenous people of Australia, Indonesia, South East Asia, China, Tibet, and Japan. These communities have relationship between nature so Shamanism varies both in faith and actualisation. Also, Shamanism regulates the relationship between nature and human, and it maintains the balance. As in all beliefs, Shamanism also varies from geography to geography, society to society in the historical process. However; the philosophy of Shamanism consists of explaining natural phenomenon with metaphysical beings. The Shamanism that is seen between the Turkish and Mongolian communities includes more differences as well as similar beliefs and practices. In this study, it is aimed to compare the similar and different situations about Shamanism between Turkish and Mongolian people. In the introduction part of study, the concepts of religion and belief were included. It was dwelled on academic dissertations about the emergence of the first beliefs. In addition to these, the connection of the beliefs that emerged as a result of the need of humanity to believe, with Shamanism was mentioned. Information was given about the history of Mongolian briefly and it has been required to explain Turkish and Mongol relations throughout the history. The study consist of three parts. In the first part, general information about Shamanism has been given. In the second part, the belief dimension of Shamanism between Turkish and Mongolian people was mentioned. In the last part,the practices of Shamanism in terms of ritual, motif and worship between Turkish and Mongolian people have been evaluated. In the conclusion, the beliefs of Shamanism between Turkish and Mongolian communities, similar and different point in practise was mentioned.
