Migration in the Turkish story (After 2000)

Migration is a voluntary or compulsory change of place/space in which people go from one place to another due to reasons such as war, natural disaster, economic conditions, political and social etc. As with the individual and all realities belonging to him/her, migration is included in the intriguing plot of the text in literary works as a subject or theme. The study examines the situations of the countries that receive and send migration in the context of the works determined from the Turkish story after 2000 -especially those centered on migration from Syria-; the physical and spiritual effects on the individual and society, the changes that occur in the triangle of individual-society-space; how the phenomenon affects the masses from thought to action in the context of migration theories, and is analyzed thematically. The study, which primarily determines the examination of the works centered on migration from the Turkish stories written after 2000, in the context of migration theories through selected texts considering the subject-theme relationship, has original qualities in terms of evaluating the reflections of the concept on individuals and societies, and making inferences regarding the cultural, political, economic, social and individual dimensions of spatial change. The scope of this study, which was decided due to the lack of activities in the field, has a more widespread impact than other works in the field in terms of creating a theoretical framework, reaching original results with text analyses, and providing a source for new texts within the framework of inferences. Migration, which has increased with wars, natural disasters, climate conditions, social, political, etc. developments, was analyzed in the context of subject and theme by addressing the concept and theory (Ravenstein's Migration Laws, Push-Pull Theory, Petersen's Five Types of Migration, Intersecting Opportunities Theory, Center-Periphery Theory, Migration Systems Theory, Network Theory, Wolpert's Migration Theory) in Turkish stories written after 2000. As a result of the examination of the stories selected from fifteen story books; it is observed that the reactions of the individual and society in the countries that receive and send migration lead to the results of othering, lack of place, and not being able to find what they are looking for.
