Abstract (EN)
Epistemology, one of the most significant branches of philosophy, is a concept open to interdisciplinary evaluation. Epistemological approach can be helpful in various fields such as history, psychology, sociology, and economics, and it also has undeniable significance for literature. The connection between literature and epistemology reveals the underlying knowledge structures of literary works, addressing the question, "What knowledge structures exist in literature?", and consequently confirms that literature cannot be conceived independently of society. In this dissertation, the relationship between epistemology and literature is examined through novels. Thus, epistemology is identified as a crucial instrument in comprehending novels, and it illuminates the hidden structures of the novels. Focusing on novels published in the first decade of the 21st century, the study analysis the narrative trajectory in novels and establishes epistemology as a crucial method for interpreting them. The main objective of this dissertation is to reveal the epistemological foundations of the period from 2000 to 2010 by examining novels from this time frame, thereby identifying the knowledge structures of this period's novels and ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the Turkish novel. The dissertation uses document and content analysis for classification purposes. Consequently, it concludes that Turkish novels from 2000 to 2010 have a broad range of epistemological foundations, and it conducts a comprehensive analysis of the period's novels within the framework of their knowledge structures.
