Free Democratic Party in Turkish political life

On 12 September 1980, the military coup laid the groundwork for shaping the political future of the Republic of Turkey and for the emergence of new formations. Mehmet Yazar, who decided to go into politics and express his ideas from the political scene, resigned from the TOBB Presidency in 1985 and was put into politics by announcing his nomination for DYP General President. Mehmet Yazar, who did not win the presidential race in DYP, founded the Hur Democratic Party in 1986. HDP, who failed to succeed in the September 28 1986. Intermediate elections has recently been terminated and has become infected with the ANAP. Mehmet Yazar, who, has been away from an active policy for a while with the termination of HDP, entered the Grand National Assembly as ANAP Kayseri MP with the 1987 General Elections and remained in office until 1991.
