Özet (EN)
It is known that BIM has many advantages in the construction sector, but various problems are encountered in the transition of developing countries to BIM (Building Information Modelling) processes. Considering the positive effects of BIM in the construction sector in developed countries, a resistance to the adoption of this method in Turkey is perceived and the reasons for this resistance are investigated. This study aims to identify the barriers to the widespread adoption of BIM in Turkey and to determine their importance levels. In the study, 112 articles were analysed through a systematic literature review and the barriers in the process of transition to BIM were identified in the literature. Then, it is aimed to determine the importance levels of these factors with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and to propose a road map for a more effective adoption of BIM in the sector. The study is important in terms of rating the obstacles encountered in the process of transition to BIM system according to their importance and developing solution suggestions. It is thought that this study will contribute to the dissemination of effective BIM applications in the construction sector by identifying the obstacles in the process of transition to BIM in Turkey and developing strategies for their solution.
