Labour relations in SMEs in Turkey: The case of Yalova province

As a result of globalization rapid changes and innovations in economy, social life and technology and accordingly alters in work organizations, increasing unemployment, starting to use flexible production and management techniques, increasing rate of employment in service sector and increasing importance of personal expectations affected economic, political and social structure as much as working relationships.After all these developments importance of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) are increasing, which doesn?t need large amount of investment, produce goods and services with using manual labor, open to new ideas and markets, follow the changes in domestic and foreign markets, know the needs of customers, make investment in living area of investors, increase regional development and make quick reflections on time against changes in external environment.Increasing importance of SME?s in industry make some studies more important. Some of them are studies about structure of working relations, identifying viewpoints of workers and employers about working relationships and determining implementation level working relationshipsSmall and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) have an important percentage of production and employment rate in Turkish economy. In this study author focused on structures and working relations of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, which are easily adapted this variation and transformation because of their more elastic organizations than big companies. In this study working relations between workers and owner of SME?s in Yalova was researched and results were evaluated.
