Economi̇c development and human capi̇tal in Turkey

In this study, the position of economic development and human capital in Turkey are examined. Basic aim of this study underlines that not only physical capital is enough as a capital bu t also human capital is need to carry out fully economic development in Turkey. In first part economic development is examined detaily and is explained clearly historical process and effects of this term Development plans are explained historically within the frame of this term. In second part, human capital is explained and the importance, effects, indicators of this term are underlined. The importance of terms such as health, education, population in Turkey is underlined in this part as special forms of human capital and digital figures is given regarding these terms. In last part, the terms of economic development and human capital are examined reciprocally by human development index. As a result of research, As the importance given to human capital increase, it can be said that economic development is better and qualitative.
