Abstract (EN)
Insurance sector is among the most valuable sectors in the financial markets. Insurance sector, especially in developed countries, occupies a very important position by being one of the most valuable factors of the financial markets. In contrast to developed countries, although the insurance sector in the Republic of Türkiye has not developed sufficiently, it is observed that the Turkish insurance sector has an important potential and the sector has recently exhibited rapid development. The main purpose of this research is to examine the development process of the insurance sector in the economy of the Republic of Türkiye. In line with this purpose, which has been determined by the research, a comprehensive literature review on the subject was carried out for the first time. The research was completed based on the information and findings obtained as a result of the literature review, the research and studies obtained as a result of the detailed analysis and reviews. This research aims to determine the position of Türkiye in the insurance sector by examining the development process of the insurance sector, which is an extremely important sector in developing and developed countries, in the economy of the Republic of Türkiye, although there are many studies related to the insurance sector in the literature, due to the limited number of studies that cover the development process of the insurance sector in detail in the Turkish economy, it is important in terms of filling this gap in the literature and contributing to it and setting an example for research and studies that will be conducted on the subject in the coming years.
