The long-term relationship economic growth, energy consumption and environmental pollution in Turkey

Econometric studies are subject to significant, the relationship economic growth, energy consumption and environmental pollution has been the subject of many in the study. Kuznets (1955) and Kraft and Kraft (1978) under the leadership of current research interests include work done today. In this study, a long-term relationship economic growth, energy consumption and environmental pollution for the Turkey (Turkey in general, the industrial sector and the agricultural sector) is to be estimated using cointegration analysis. Estimation of the model, the Johansen-Juselius cointegration test for the determination of long-term relationships, and error correction model has been applied. According to the results, a long-term relationship economic growth, energy consumption and environmental pollution for the Turkey in the study, a positive correlation between economic growth and energy consumption and a negative correlation between economic growth and environmental pollution have been identified. A long-term relationship economic growth, energy consumption and environmental pollution for the Turkish industrial sector in the study to determine a positive correlation the industrial sector economic growth, energy consumption and environmental pollution have been identified. A long-term relationship economic growth, energy consumption and environmental pollution for the Turkish agricultural sector in the study to determine a positive correlation between the agricultural sector economic growth and environmental pollution have been identified.
