Abstract (EN)
The concept of informal employment which has been the main problem of developing countries in recent years has become a tough problem to solve for Turkey too. The purpose of this study is investigating reasons of informal employment and determining factors which increase informal employment for each region by comparing regions. In this study, data which is obtained from 2015 household labour force survey of Turkish Statistical Institute is analysed by double logistic regression method. It is seen that informal employment is affected from many variables which have different ratios for each region and it is also seen that some variables have positive effects for particular regions whereas they affect the other regions negatively. It is determined that variables like gender, educational level, marital status, sector of workplace, number of employees, manner of work, business continuity affect informal employment and they are meaningful.
