Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this article is to analyze Turkey's participation in the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations and its overseas military base policy. This study, first of all touches upon transition process from the League of Nations to the United Nations and international law and the use of force. By emphasizing that the need for UN Peace Operations increased with the end of the Cold War in the early 1990s, the reasons for this increase in Peace Operations were tried to be explained. Turkey's contribution to the protection of world peace began in 1950 when it participated in the Korean War and after this period Turkey's contributions to UN Peace Operations analyzed in detail. In addition, the importance of Turkey's overseas military policy and about overseas military bases information has been given.
