Abstract (EN)

On this thesis, for Turkey, We calculate the amount of electric energy obtained from the processing of solid waste. The estimated computation is based on dataset of solid waste processing plant in Eskişehir province as well as the population and the amount of solid waste in the province and the calculation is also extended to do national scale. Subsequently, population projections are calculated by Turkish Statistical Institute via the arithmetic increase, geometric growth, compound interest and the iller banks methods. As of 2019, according to Eskişehir provinces dataset, it is concluded that Turkey can generate approximately 4 743 796 megawatt hour ( or 4 743 gigawatt hour ) electricty from the processing of solid waste. National or provincial of 2017 Turkish Statistical Institute result, proportionate values are made using the electrical energy production from solid waste is foreseen to constitute Turkey % 1,52 of the energy of solid waste.
