Özet (EN)

In this thesis, economic and commercial relations was examined between Turkey and Turkish States (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan) which gained independence after dissolution of Soviet Union. Among these countries, especially Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are countries with significant hydrocarbon reserves. Turkey's orientation to these states, which shared mutual history, culture, religion, and language; as well as trade volumes and trade products in the recent past period of time were examined.Turkey's place in the economy and share in the total trade of these countries were also discussed. The place of international trade in economics is explained with its theory, policy and approaches and its basic principles. Turkey's economic commercial approaches were analyzed in this frame. Turkey needs to develop more productive and qualified relations with and Caucasus Middle East to cover increasing demand of sources and energy, since Asian economy has been growing day by day. Considering 30 years of independence, it's observed that Turkey's economic cooperation with CIS member states is less than its economic cooperation with EU, Africa and Middle east.Solutions of problems and some suggestions for increasing the commercial volume is included in the thesis.
