The effect of stakeholders in the plastics industry in Turkey on clean production practices

In this study, The effect of the stakeholders in the plastics industry in Türkiye on clean production practices and the environmental and operational performance of the company in cleaner production practices has been investigated. In addition, the regulatory role of business size in the effect of stakeholders on cleaner production practices and cleaner production practices on environmental and operational performance has been investigated. The study was carried out within the framework of the data obtained by using the survey method from 316 companies operating in the plastics industry in Turkey. AMOS 22 statistical program was used in the analysis of the obtained data. As a result of the research; It has been determined that customers, regulators and competitors from stakeholders have a positive effect on cleaner production practices, but environmental organizations and social media have no effect on cleaner production practices. In the study, it was determined that process design, product design and logistics activities, which are clean production practices, have a positive effect on environmental performance. It has been determined that process design and product design, which are cleaner production practices, have no effect on operational performance within the scope of the research. In addition, in this study, it has been determined that the size of the enterprise has a regulatory role in the impact of stakeholders on cleaner production practices and the impact of cleaner production practices on environmental and operational performance.
