Applications of social municipalities in Turkey and Ankara

At the present day, local administrations have an active role for the implementation of some basic social policies related with education, health and housing on a local level. Their another role is to improve the citizens? living standards, who are in their own units, with their own activities.The 21st century has two basic inheritance from the previous century. One of them is globalisation fact and process, the other is localization. Without a shadow of doubt, the most important units of local administrations are municipalities. In this study, social activities of municipalities and Greater Municipality of Ankara will be examined as a study cases.For more efficient of this study, pictures and brochures of Social Activites of Greater Municipalitiy of Ankara added to appendices.Keywords: Social Municipalities,Social Aids, Social Government.
