Abstract (EN)

In this study, which deals with the current course of Turkey-Saudi Arabia relations, the problems that are the subject of bilateral relations are examined under the titles. In all the analyzes made, the perspectives of the two countries on the aforementioned problems were based on their identity characteristics (the structure of the state and the government, its historical background and the reflection of the transformations it went through throughout history on foreign policy execution, etc.) and the connections between the issues were tried to be examined. First of all, it was necessary to explain the transformations that the two countries went through in the last century and how the bilateral relations followed in the same period, since it constitutes the mainstay of the analysis. As a result, important results have been obtained about the characteristics of the regional and Turkish politics of Saudi Arabia, where Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has a say, and the transformation of bilateral relations in recent years has been tried to be understood. Ultimately, it was concluded that Turkey-Saudi Arabia relations were the scene of contradictions that found ground between economic interests and identity interests both in the past and today.
