Özet (EN)
Fixed investment costs are generally quite high in health institutions providing health services. In this case, economies of scale are required to bring unit costs to a bearable level. Economy of scale requires strong institutions that have sufficient number of patients and adequate medical training opportunities, both for each institution and for the whole system, and which have met the minimum requirements. Universities that provide medical education need application areas that support and complement this education. These fields are medical school in general practice. In these hospitals, both advanced diagnosis and treatment activities are carried out and faculty members are given the opportunity to conduct research. The establishment of these hospitals, which require huge investments due to economies of scale, increases the costs of opening medical schools both financially and bureaucratically. Affiliation agreements model has been developed as an application that facilitates the opening of medical schools. In this study, the models of affiliation agreements between medical faculties and hospitals in Turkey are mentioned. The published regulations regarding affiliation agreements are emphasized. In the first part of the study, the concept of management, its functions, strategic management and issues related to health management are mentioned. The effects of strategic management practices on health institutions are mentioned. In the next section, health services, their characteristics and other concepts related to health services are examined, while in the fourth part of the study, the management and organizational structures of the hospitals are explained. In the fifth chapter, the subject of medical education in universities, the concept of affiliation and its models are mentioned. In the last part of the study, the field research for affiliated hospitals was reported. In this study, the results of these agreements were discussed with the affiliated hospitals. In this section, the number of students per faculty member in the medical faculties of universities in Istanbul is calculated and the relationship between these data and affiliation is emphasized. Again in this section, data such as the number of hospital applications and the rates of qualified beds were examined and the changes observed as a result of the affiliation agreements were examined.
