Importance of improving commerce between Turkey and Turkic republics

The aims of this thesis are; to evaluate economic cooperation and to identify current problems of commerce between Turkey and the Turkic Republics, also to determine what can be done for the development of mutual trade for the future and to investigate the strategic contributions which might be provided through this subject. Turkey has got positive but limited interaction between Turkic Republics for the first 20 years of their independence. After 2000s, it has been observed that development could lead to content results with a pragmatic approach towards the region. Currently, Turkey' s economic relations with Turkic Republics have not reached the level of strategic level and the content. Turkey' s role seems to be quite weak in the geo-economic competition between Russia, China and the USA. Turkey-Turkic Republics economic and energy cooperation should not be limited by the vision of entrepreneurs interested to invest. Turkey, with the experience of the first 20 years, should develop a comprehensive geo-economic strategy for the region.
