Abstract (EN)

BIM (Building Information Modelling), known as Building Information Modelling in the literature, covers an innovative construction process used in the construction industry in cooperation with architecture, engineering and construction industry. In the literature review, it is seen that BIM is not yet an actively used system for developing countries such as Türkiye. One of the main reasons why BIM is not actively used in Türkiye is that BIM implementation processes and construction implementation processes in Türkiye are not fully compatible in the Turkish construction industry. When the current project design and construction processes are examined, although the stakeholders are independent from each other, the process is carried out under the control of a centralized system such as building inspection and municipality. However, in the current situation, there are disruptions in the process due to many reasons such as time losses in data transfer, incomplete data transfer between stakeholders, misunderstandings. It is thought that these problems can be solved by using BIM systems. Within the scope of this study, it is aimed to present a model that developing countries such as Türkiye can use and control not only in the project design or implementation phase but also in all construction processes of a building. Within the scope of the study, firstly, the role and information flow of the building inspection system in the project design processes will be modeled, and then its integration with the BIM system is modeled. In modeling, data transfer between stakeholders will be modeled with the Information Delivery Manual (IDM) method and the content of the data to be transferred will be determined with the Model View Definition (MVD) method. As a result of the study, the role and model of building inspections in the BIM integration process will be determined. The study is unique in that it is a new process model integrated with BIM in which the existing project approval process will be preserved.
