Examination of the Turks documentary in relation to the learning acquisition of the social sciences curriculum

This study was conducted to determine the suitability of the Turks documentary to the Social Studies Curriculum acquisition. This research covers the examination of fifty-two episodes of the documentary The Turks in line with the 5th, 6th and 7th grade Social Studies Curriculum Acquisition. The study group of the research consists of the Turks documentary and the Social Studies Course Curriculum dated 2018. This study was designed according to the qualitative research method. In the research process, document analysis was used as the data collection method and the data were analysed by document analysis method. As a result of the research, it was determined that the documentary sections could be associated with a total of 25 different achievements, that they could be associated with the Culture and Heritage Learning Area in 92 different places, and that the most association was in the 7th grade Social Studies course. However, it was observed that some parts of the documentary were not suitable for the Social Studies course acquisition and the reasons for this were stated.
