Abstract (EN)
There are many sustainable building assessment systems and tools available today. Among these systems, there are those that evaluate different types of buildings and only university buildings. The UI GreenMetric World University Sustainability Ranking is one such tool that evaluates only university structures. The purpose of the thesis; By examining the energy and climate change evaluations of the UI GreenMetric World University Sustainability Ranking, it is to investigate the research of these technologies by the Turkish universities in the ranking in 2022. The study provides an overview of the developments between sustainability and educational structures. In addition, focusing on sustainable building certification systems, especially training programs and energy criteria were emphasized. Considering the UI GreenMetric World University Sustainability Rankings, the focus is particularly on the energy and climate change categories. After the literature review, universities in Turkey that were included in the 2022 UI GreenMetric World University Sustainability Rankings and had their own sustainability reports were selected. The reports of a total of nineteen universities were analyzed and the energy and climate change practices of these universities were evaluated taking into account different climatic regions.
