Psychological needs and the role of grit in the predicting of career adapt adaptability in university students

The purpose of this research is to examine the career adapt adaptability of university students in terms of psychological needs and grit. For this purpose, research design was determined as the predictive correlational research. The research was conducted on 382 students studying at Hasan Kalyoncu University. Analysis of the data obtained in the study was made using SPSS 22.0 statistical program. The dependent variable of the research is the career adapt abilities, and the independent variables are the psychological needs and grit. The first thing that was added to the hierarchical regression analysis, which was used in accordance with the purpose of the research, was psychological needs, followed by vigorous insistence subdimesion of grit. When the research results are examined, it is seen that psychological needs explain 41% of career adaptation ability alone. When persistence insistence is added to the model, 49% of career adaptation skills were explained.
