Analysis about the relationship between university students'personality features and entrepreneurship tendencies: A research on higher education institutions in Silifke district

Entrepreneurship: It is a concept that has its origins in ancient times and has increased with the industrial and technological development of societies. Entrepreneurs, who are the most important building blocks of the economy, are the individuals who constitute the key points of the increase in social welfare. These people are the most important factors contributing to employment opportunities in the society. When the concept of entrepreneurship is examined in more detail over time, the tendency towards entrepreneurship has become important. With this concept, since the personality factor is the most distinctive basic feature of the individual, its effect on the emergence of entrepreneurial activities is too great to be underestimated. In other words, in this context, measuring the success of individuals in the results and maintenance of newly formed entrepreneurial activities is explained by personality traits (Karaca, 2015). In the first part of the study, information about the definition of personality traits, its components and personality theories are given. In the second part, information about the definition of entrepreneurship, similar concepts, importance, and entrepreneurship tendency is given. In the third part, the analyzes and hypothesis results related to the research problem are shared, and in the conclusion part, the research results are interpreted, and suggestions are made.
