The concept of honor, which is rooted in the word "nomos", has the basic meaning of "social rules created by people". However, over time, the concept has gained different meanings by getting rid of its first and basic meaning. Historical changes and transformations are also involved in social life, and the phenomenon of honor is over time; it has become a violent phenomenon that causes inter-gender discrimination. In the continuation of this quality of the phenomenon, the crimes committed on the grounds of honor have increased day by day and continue to show. Even in the new era, when the transition from traditional society structure to a modern society structure makes itself felt in almost every aspect of life, women; they are subjected to violence on the grounds that they violate the norms of a social nature that are considered honor. Although it is corresponding in different terms in different parts of the world, the phenomenon of "honor" is all over the world; it is a threat to women's life.
