Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out for the purpose of collecting valid and reliable data in order to designate to what extent the university students gain beneficially from recreational activities they engage in. After studying available academic research a questionnaire of 55 items was made. Following expert opinion it was decided to narrow the data collection tool to 45 items. As a result of the pilot study one item found low factor load (.288) the data collection tool was reduced to 44 items and the implicit structure of it was formed through the explanatory factor analysis. According to the result of the analysis a structure was shaped. This structure was shaped by 41 items and 3 factors. These 41 items and 3 factors explain the 43.327 % of the total variance. The verification of the implicit structure that was shaped was tested through confirmatory factor analysis. Analysis results have shown that the fit indices of the structure of 41 items and 3 factors are good. Founded dimensions named as Fun/Entertaintment, Sosyal/Başarı and Self Improvement). The reliability of the data collection tool was tested by internal consistency and the split-half reliability analyses. It was understood that the data collection tool has high reliability.
