A field study for the city of Gazi̇antep related to students' satisfaction at their universities

The aim of universities is to educate human resource having enough knowledge that business life requires, and contribute to various branches of science through researches done at diverse fields.In this context universities, which strive to fulfill the functions of education and training, is to provide the best service to current customers, that is to say students, and to train them as individuals equipped academically and socially before entering into professional life, also creating an environment which will enable their development. Among all service sectors, education sector has a major significance, too. Particularly at a period, when increasing numbers of state and private universities embark on a race to get students in recent years, this emphasis on education also puts forward the quality of education and student satisfaction. Like other service businesses, educational organizations also have to attach importance to the desire and needs of consumers, that is to say students. Especially to talk over Private Universities; a study has been done regarding student satisfaction through a survey conducted under the name of the main topics related to the physical environment in the university and physical spaces that support learning, support services to meet the needs of students, assessments concerning academic staff, assessments concerning administrative staff, satisfaction, prestige, recommendation, and commitment. This study has been done on student satisfaction at State and Private Universities, being supported by a regional study. Key words: Higher Education, Student Satisfaction, Quality of Service, Quality
