Image of universities on students: Example of a state university

Although it is known that competition is more intense among private institutions, today competitive environment has also emerged in state institutions. The competition of institutions with each other has increased the importance of the image. The concept of the image, which is of great importance for institutions to continue their existence, and to create a positive picture in the sight of society, has also become important for universities. Universities that build a positive image will attract qualified students and well-equipped professors to their institutions, thereby positively increasing the image of both the university and the province of the university. The subject of the research is the image in the eyes of the students studying at Yalova University, a state university. The research aims to determine the image of the university they study in the minds of Yalova University students. The survey was applied to the students of Yalova University by using qualitative research techniques. A total of 22 questions were asked in the survey study. The research reached 310 people in total, and the questionnaire was sent to the students via Sms and E-mail and made on Google Forms. Keywords: Institutional image, Yalova University, students
