Reasons for choosing social studies department while eterminy the üniversity: A comprehensive reviev

In research, it has accrued that the most of the social studies teacher candidates preferred the department because they likes the profession. However, it is also clearly-understood that the ones, who prefer just because their exam marks are only enough for this department and who don't want to be out, have a significant ratio. In this research, according to their scores in the sixty universities across the base of the Social Studies Education Department in 2014, four groups have been formed and one university was selected. The aim of this study is to compare the reasons for the selection of the social studies department of teacher candidates, who are in the first and fourth grade of these four universities. In order to achieve this aim, screening model was used. A total of 345 teacher candidates from the 1st and 4th grades of four universities participated in the study.
