Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between attachment styles, depression level and rumination level amoung university students. 298 students who study at Dicle University of Economic Department in Diyarbakır formed researcher's questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of four scales, namely, Demographic Information Form, Experience Close Relationship Inventory, Beck Depression Inventory and Short Version of Ruminative Response Sclae. In data analysis, for non-scattering data Mann Whitney-U Test, Spearman Correlation; for normal scattering data T-test and One Way Anova analyses were used. As a result of this research, there is no significant relationship between rumination and anxiety- avoidance as a subscale of attachment styles. There is moderate positive relationship between rumination and depression. The relationship between anxiety and depression is found a weak negative correlation. It is investigated that there was moderate negative correlation between avoidance and depression level. Keywords: attachment style, depression, rumination
