Thematic vocabulary in Uyghur folk poetries

Uyghur Turks have a deep rooted (long standing) past and traditions in oral and spoken literature. In those literary works, folk poetry takes an important place. It is an undeniable fact that even if it is named differently in other dialects, koşak, known as a poetry of Uyghurs, is a literature geure which reflects the same feelings and thoughts in aucultures. Subject of this research is the poetry of Uyghur folk literature. The poetry is analyzed in terms of thematic vocabulary. In the first part of this study, there is an evaluation of poetry in both Turkish and Uyghur folk literature. In the second part, there is atranscription of Uyghur poetry and translation into Turkish. In the third part, Uyghur poetry is analysed in terms of the me, structure and vocabulary.
