Evalution of the effectiveness of orientation training: Sample of the National Education Directorate of Mersin

The increasing intensity of competition in a globalized world leads many companies and institutions to take measures to demonstrate more compliance to the staff. The training staff of the companies is increasing each passing day. In official or private institutions and companies, the orientation training given to new started staff starts when the staff makes his fist step into the company or institution and lasts for a while.The orientation training plays a major role on the first impression of the staff. The staff who takes orientation training can fulfills anything more quickly since he adapts more quickly to the business. Orientation training saves money and time for employer since it prevents any accident and unfavorable situation that may occur.This study is made to the newly assigned teachers to the National Education Directorate of Mersin within the context of orientation training seminar to evaluate the effectiveness of the given orientation training. It was investigated that whether the orientation training has effect on the stuff or not.In the theory part of the study, the concept of training in human resource management, types of education and training needs were discussed. In addition, Detailed information was given about orientation, (job training), purpose of scope and foundations of education. On the other hand, within the context of orientation training to the newly assigned teachers to the National Education Directorate of Mersin, content, scope and the purpose of education is described.Within the scope of application of the study, statistical data on the orientation training to the newly assigned teachers to the National Education Directorate of Mersin is also shared. Survey method was used to collect these data.Eventually, it is understood that orientation training has positive effects on the newly assigned teachers and largely achieved the objectives of compliance training.Key Words: Orientation, Compliance training, Effectiveness.
