A sociological perspective on drug use: Tunceli student

The increasing of using drugs more and more eachday and the decrease in the age of use cause a high level of anxiety. Many institutions and organization sare in search of solutions top revent drug use. This addiction harms not only the individual but also thesociety. Social mistake saffect the starting and maintaining addiction. Social a warenes sunderlies at the basis of the solution of this global problem which the whole world is struggling with. As the main purpose of the study; It is aimed to determine the social perspective and parental concerns, reasons of tendecy and awareness levels of substance addicts and support solution at social and individual level. In this direction, it was tried to determine the level of a wareness of drug addiction using the in-depth interview method with questions prepared to determine the social perception of drug addiction, including nine participants who were raised in the Tunceli culture, whose education levels, marital status and parental status were different. As a consequence; It is determined that society has worries about drug addiction and especially the anxiety levels of the participants who are parents are at an dramatic level. Beside, it is observed that environ mental factors is dominant to start the addiction, also family factor is effective to gravitate to this environ mental factor integrally. In the study conducted in the Tunceli sample, it is concluded that religious structure has no effect and some cultural factors has an indirect effect, although they don't direct to the drugs. Considering all the sefacts, although it is not completely possible to hind eraccessing to drugs, it seems possible to prevent using drugs by raising the a wareness of the society.
