Abstract (EN)
The use of orthopedic plates is of great importance in long bone fractures. For the proper design of these plates, stress analysis of bone-plate systems are carried out by using finite element method. In this numerical study, the numerical solution is made in ANSYS program by using the finite element method, and the perforated bone plate system is designed in three dimensions. 18 layers of braided glass reinforced, braided carbon reinforced and hybrid glass / carbon reinforced composite plates with 0 °, 15 °, 30 °, 45 ° orientations; Bone plates made of pure titanium and stainless steel were examined and compared in terms of stress and deformation in the fracture zone. Stiffened laminated composites were selected in this study because the unidirectionally reinforced composites are highly resistant in the fiber direction and the rigid fiber is perpendicular to the fiber direction. They were designed to have composite materials and orientations that would contribute to optimal healing by comparing with the stress and deformation values at the beginning and at the end of 8 weeks by concentrating on hybrid composite plates. In additon, by examining the effect of hybrid composite materials with different mechanical properties on the fracture interface stress distribution in the bone plate system, It was tried to choose the material having the most suitable stress and deformation values in terms of stability, lightness, strength, cost and fracture region.
