Abstract (EN)

In this study, flora and vegetation of Uzungöl and its environment were investigated. Study area is located in the Black Sea Region, from Of to Çaykara, and it is a line from sea level to top of the mountains. In the study area, total 1024 taxa belong to 117 families and 435 genera were determined. According to literature, floristic regions of 512 taxa were determined. 73 taxa (7%) of the determined taxa are endemics and 24 taxa (2.35%) are cosmopolites. The largest families of the study are as follow: Cotnpositae, Leguminosae, Rosaceae, Gramineae, Caryophyllaceae and Labiatae. In the study area, 6 vegetation types, 3 formation classes (I, E, V), 3 formation subclasses (A, B, C), 5 formation groups (2, 3, 5, 7, 10), 4 formations (a, b, c, d) and 2 subformations ((1), (2)) were described. Furthermore, 13 plant associations belong to 5 vegetation types were described and 2 of them are new. These seen below with the vegetation types and formation classes: - Dune vegetation : V.B.5a(2) : Euphorbia paralias - Otanthus maritimus - Forest vegetation : I.A.10b(l) : Pinus sylvestris - Epimedivm pinnatum subsp. colchicum, I.B.3a: Castanea sativa - Fagus orientalis, I.B.2b: Fagus orientalis - Picea orientalis, I. A. 10c: Picea orientalis - Section stoloniferum - Stream vegetation : I.B.3d(2) : Alnus glutinosa subsp. barbata - Oplismenus undilatifolius - Aquatic vegetation : V.B.5a(l) : Lythrum salicaria - Equisetumfluviatile - Subalpine and alpine vegetation : n.B.3a : Betula litwinawii - Anemone narcissiflora, V.C.7b(l): Sibbaldia parviflora - Agrostis lazica, Polygonum bistorta subsp. carneum - Stachys macrantha, Nardus stricta - Gentiana pyrenaica, Centaur ea appendjcigera - Anihemis cretica subsp. argea, V.C.7b(2): Rhododendron caucasicum - Vaccinium myrtillus. - Pseudomaquis vegetation: Because of its small location and not homogenous structure it could not be classified at plant association level. Vegetation map was prepared by using GIS with the help of formation classes obtained from plant sociological studies. Key Words.* Flora, Vegetation, Vegetation Map, Uzungöl. vn
