Abstract (EN)

The Crimean Khanate left a rich corpus of official documents worthy of diplomatic, political, economic and cultural research. The documents compiled by Velyaminov-Zernov, which include the diplomatic activities of the Crimean Khanate with the Russian Tsardom, the Kingdom of Poland and the Kingdom of Prussia, are analyzed chronologically. As is known, the Crimean Khanate adhered to the language and state tradition of the Golden Horde Khanate. The administrative structure of the Crimean Khanate, the remnant of the Golden Horde Khanate, was based on the laws of the Mongol Emperor Genghis Khan. The fall of the Crimean Khanate under the Ottoman Empire in 1475 affected the internal structure, economy, diplomatic activities, social and cultural structure of the Crimean Khanate. The Crimean Khanate, which established political and economic relations with neighboring states due to its geopolitical position, shaped the political balances in its region during its periods of power. The Crimean Khanate was also influenced by the Ottoman Empire in its diplomatic correspondence. This interaction can be clearly seen in Velyaminov-Zernov's letters to the Russian Tsardom, the Kingdom of Poland and the Kingdom of Prussia. The study is intended to shed light on the linguistic-cultural and socio-economic history as well as Turkish History and Crimean History. In the study, the relevant period (1515-1666) is evaluated in detail by comparing the existing Crimean historical sources with Velyaminov-Zernov's work. It is hoped that this study will contribute to the history of the Crimean Khanate.
