Abstract (EN)
India is an important geographical location in the South of Asia. The geography of India, which has hosted many civilizations due to its temperate climate and rivers such as the Indus and Ganges. Also the geography of India, which includes people from many different ethnic groups and religions, has been seen as a field of conquest and domination by many states and rulers in the historical period. India is among the migration areas of the Turks, who had conquered many migrations and conquests in Central Asia. It is known that the Saka/Scythians, also known as the first Turkish community, reached the Indian geography. However, it was not limited to the Saka/Scythians, and with a migration movement that took place during the weakening of the Asian Huns, the migration movements of the White Huns, called the western branch, reached India. The White Huns, fighting for the Silk Road in India, established a state that would go South and carried out the conquest movements that would be the mentioned in the Hindu text. The conquest movements that took place before Islam were followed by the conquest movements of the Turkish-Islamic States. With the 17 expeditions of the Ghaznavid State, one of the Turkish-Islamic States, and its ruler, Ghaznavid Sultan Mahmud, India once again was faced the conquests of the Turks. As a result of the weakening and collapse of the Ghaznavids' domination of the India, the Turkish domination continued with the Delhi Turkish Sultanate. After Aybeg(1206-1210), the founder of the Delhi Turkish Sultanate, it was ruled by Turkish dynasties such as Muizzis(1210-1290), Halacians(1290-1320), Tugluks(1321-1413). It was also ruled by the Afghan Ludi Dynasty for a time between 1451 and 1526. India was the last stop of Babur Shah, who made expeditions and conquests from Turkistan to Kabul and from there to India. Babur Shah, ended the Afghan Ludi Dynasty at the Battle of Panipat in 1526 and later established the Delhi-based Babur Empire. The Babur Empire dominated India for over three hundred years. Babur Empire rulers extended their conquests to the South of India. The Alamgir period(1658-1707), which represents one of the brightest periods among the aforementioned conquests, has a special place. Within the framework of our study, the political and military aspects of the Alamgir period were evaluated by comparing the information conveyed by the Venetian Traveler Niccolao Manucci, the important sources of the period and the information conveyed by other European travelers.
