Verdî Kāsım Divanı(Text, glossary, index)

The level of national development and the level of language and literature show parallesim. When you look at the grand, rooted, and developed civilizations, ıt's known that literature and language development are at the same rate of the development. Developed civilizations proud those by presenting important literary works. Important works are powerful in term of language and figure of speech. Poems which are the figure of speech are among these art works. Turkish poem emerged from religious ceremonies, but then it maintained its development out of the religious subjects. The poem which is the main expression of our literature for centuries called 'Yır' is seen first in Orkhon inscriptions then in Divan-ı Lugatı Turk. Poem is the most developed type in our literature. Athough there are many type of articles, Turkish people liked the poem most. Hence, in our literature even poems are told by masnavi. Poem has an important place in our classic literature. So poecy scale is seen as having organized Divan Many studies have been made in the field of Classic Turkish literature so far. In the result of studies many artists and significance of their works hau been determined, but many artists who hau names in tezkireler and other sources, are avaliable. Furthermore no examinations hau been made about them. Like other artists, these artists should be examined and known their importance taken place in literature world. Euntually, we considered that Verdî Kāsım and his work called Divan which no studies hau been made so far should be examined. This study consists of the transcription text of the Divan, which is registered in Ankara National Library Manuscript Collection 06 Mil Yz A 2589 and work on index and dictionary. These are 168 poems and 2 eras in this work. İn the introduction part of our study, poetry in Classical Turkish Literature and Sufism in Classical Turkish Literature have been mentoined briefly. The first part of our study consist of transcribed text, the second part consist of a dictionary and the third part consist of an index and the same edition has been used in order to provide a more healthy follow-ıp of the studies. Altough there is no detailed examination of the text, the examination has been made in general and this has been summarized with examples under the title of "conclusion".
