Abstract (EN)
In this work, [Mn(maa)2(vim)2H2O]•H2O (1), [Co(maa)2(vim)2H2O]•H2O (2), [Zn(maa)2(vim)] (3), [Cd(maa)2(vim)2H2O]•H2O (4), complexes were synthesized by using different metals, methacrylic acid (maaH) and 1-vinylimidazole (vim) ligands. These complexes were characterized by magnetic susceptibility measurements, UV-VIS, IR spectroscopy and X-Ray single crystal technique. Thermal behaviours of the complexes were determined by TG, DTG and DTA techniques. Metal ion imprinting properties of polymerized [Cd(maa)2(vim)2H2O]•H2O complex was investigated. At room temperature spin only magnetic moments were calculated from the magnetic susceptibility measurement of complexes. Mn(II) and Co(II) complexes were found to be paramagnetic whereas Cd(II) and Zn(II) complexes were diamagnetic. The frequency changes in COO- vibrations of the methacrylate ligands were used to explain their coordination behaviour. Thermal analysis datas show that complexes lose aqua ligands and 1-vinylimidazole in the first stage of decomposition and in the following stages methacrylate ligands decompose to metaloxides or metal of the complexes. In 1 and 3 complexes, the methacrylate acted as dianionic bidentate ligand bonded to the metals and in 2 and 4 complexes monodentate ligand bonded to the metals, vim ligand bonded to the metals via its ring nitrogen atoms. Coordination geometry of central atoms in the [Mn(maa)2(vim)2H2O]•H2O (1) ve [Cd(maa)2(vim)2H2O]•H2O (4) complexes were distorted pentagonal bipyramit, [Co(maa)2(vim)2H2O]•H2O (2) complexes were distorted trigonal bipyramid and [Zn(maa)2(vim)] (3) complexes were distorted tetrahedral. When the pH value for the metal adsorption of Cd (II) -Polymer (Cd (II) -IIP) was examined, it was observed that the maximum adsorption was in the range of pH: 5.5-6 for Cd (II). It was found that the adsorption capacity of polymer was 38.08 mg/g, and the selectivity behavior was higher in the imprinted metal.
