Abstract (EN)
This research was planned and carried out to determine the effect of students on the academic achievement of the "Topography and rocks" teaching in the 10th grade geography course of the web 2.0 tools supported by using padlet, canva, mentimeter and kahoot, and the student attitude towards teaching the geography of the web 2.0 tools. The research was carried out in the 2019-2020 academic year, using the Pretest-Posttest Control Pattern model with 114 tenth grade students studying at the Lütfi Ege Anatolian High School in Merkezefendi district of Denizli. 10-A and 10-B branches (57 students) in the control group, 10-C and 10-D branches (57 students) in the experimental group participated in the experimental stage of the research. While teaching the geography of web 2.0 tools in the experimental group, the lesson was taught by computer-aided geography teaching in the control group. Topography and Rocks Academic Achievement Test consisting of 40 questions and Web 2.0 Tools Supported Geography Teaching Attitude Questionnaire consisting of 10 questions were used to collect the research data. Statistical analysis of the data was done using SPSS 22.0 (Statistical Package for Social Science) software. In accordance with the sub-objectives of the research in the analysis of the data; Independent Groups T-Test, Dependent (Paired) Sample T-Test and item statistical analysis were used. According to the findings obtained from the research, web 2.0 tools supported geography teaching had a significant impact on students' academic achievement in teaching Topography and Rocks. It was also determined that students' attitudes towards teaching geography supported with web 2.0 tools were positive. It is recommended to use web 2.0 tools effectively in order to increase the efficiency to be obtained from educational activities. Researches can be conducted on the use of Web 2.0 tools at other topics, areas and levels.
