Abstract (EN)
In this research, the applications of the Witch of Agnesi curve in decision theory have been examined. The mathematical properties behind Maria Gaetana Agnesi's definition of this curve have been highlighted. The focus of the study is on how this curve can be utilized in the field of decision theory and how such utilization can contribute to decision-making processes. By addressing the challenges in determining the expected value of the Witch of Agnesi and focusing on various decision theory approaches, the research aims to explore how the Witch of Agnesi curve can be evaluated within decision theory and how this evaluation can be integrated into decision-making processes. The research problem statement has been formulated as: How can the Witch of Agnesi curve be assessed in decision theory, and how can this assessment be integrated into decision-making processes? The study also compares the evaluation of other games facing similar mathematical challenges, such as the Pasadena game, aiming to fill gaps in knowledge on this subject. In conclusion, this thesis represents a comprehensive exploration of the potential applications of the Witch of Agnesi in the context of decision theory by examining the interaction between mathematics and decision theory.
