Women on the move: The gendered-dimension of conflicts and forced migration – perceptions of humanitarian workers about Syrian women in Turkey

The study's goal is to observe and address the effect of forced displacement on women, mainly Syrians in Turkey as a case study. The study's major goal was to critically examine the impact of forced migration, the experiences, and challenges faced by forcibly displaced women from the I/NGOs experts' perspective, the forefront of the response. With this vision in mind, and through this research I wanted to contribute to the existing literature on women and development. This study mainly discusses the disadvantages of being a displaced person and a woman simultaneously. By making use of the problems faced on the ground, this study seeks to analyse first the policies made in place to respond to the crisis and the role that I/NGOs have been playing in collaboration with the Turkish authorities in managing women refugees' access to public services and safety.
